Nova Scotia is the provincial co-chair of the Forum of Labour Market Ministers (FLMM) and will act as the FLMM Secretariat from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2027. The FLMM is a neutral forum, composed of federal, provincial and territorial (F-P/T) Ministers responsible for labour market policies and programs. Established in 1983, the FLMM promotes discussion and cooperation between governments on pan-Canadian and regional labour market issues. The FLMM is co-chaired by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and a lead province or territory. ESDC's co-chair role is permanent, while the co-chair role transfers to a new province or territory every two years. For more information, please visit .
About Our Opportunity
Are you seeking an opportunity to work with a dynamic team to influence policy development? If so, this is an exciting opportunity for you to explore. Reporting to the Director of the FLMM Secretariat, the Senior Policy Analyst will lead policy research, analysis and communications within the FLMM Secretariat, by providing information to support federal / provincial / territorial discussions at senior levels. Working in a highly sensitive and confidential environment with a small team within an interprovincial forum, to lead and facilitate the work required to support intergovernmental cooperation. This work has a substantial communications component in addition to policy. Both the policy and communications work will require coordinating feedback from multiple jurisdictions, that will be obtained through participating in meetings and working groups.
