Together, our diversity defines the uniqueness of Nova Scotia.About Our OpportunityAs the Program Administration Officer, you are responsible for carrying out Tourism Nova Scotia\'s (TNS) business objectives by supporting the consumer marketing team in administration of, but not limited to, advertising campaigns, partner programs, social media channels, e-newsletters, printed/e-guides, and website(s).As the Program Administration Officer, you will prepare documents and presentations, meet with tourism industry members, format/organize/store/distribute photo and video content, work within spreadsheets and other tools (ex. Basecamp) to support project management. You will learn the Tourism Nova Scotia brand and help to ensure the brand guidelines are followed as well as other rules and policies that are in place by the department as it relates to marketing programs and the use of content. This position also works closely with the TNS\' Agency of Record.This position reports to the Manager Consumer Marketing.Primary Accountabilities

  • Aids in the development and administration of the Digital Content Marketing Program, including program promotion, application evaluation, agreement creation and coordination, content development, attending shoots, photo evaluation and selection, coordination of video development, as well as program review.
  • Coordination and administration of the TNS content bank, currently housed in Simpleview, including uploading and tagging photos and videos, as well as adhering to permission guidelines when distributing content to partners.
  • Writing, uploading, organizing, and tagging content in other owned channels social media channels such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram and the tourism website NovaScotia.com.
Qualifications and ExperienceThis may be the right opportunity for you if you have a Bachelors\' degree in Tourism, Business or Public Relations plus 1 year of experience in Marketing or an acceptable combination of training and experience will be considered.As the successful candidate you are an outstanding communicator with excellent presentation skills. You understand an innovative environment and you are an expert and regular user of multiple social media platforms. You are client focused and possess the ability to forge partnerships representing the provincial government with a variety of audiences both internally and externally.You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills, can build productive relationships and open to learning new skills to compliment your existing competencies. You have effective verbal and written communication skills and strong time management skills.
