Job Details
Position Title: Professor, Creative Technologies
Status: Full Time Faculty/Department: Faculty of Media & Creative Arts
Campus/Location: North campus (primary), other campuses (Lakeshore or Carier Drive) depending on applied research and project work
Salary: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees.
What you will do:
As a professor, you\xe2\x80\x99ll empower a diverse group of learners to succeed in creatively leveraging technology to practically solve challenges. You will teach courses in the Interaction Design Cluster within the Faculty of Media & Creative Arts, particularly for Interactive Media Management \xe2\x80\x93 Creative Technologies. In addition to teaching, responsibilities will include
curriculum development, lesson planning, assessing student progress and achievement, class management, contribution in program development, applied research, and other co-curricular activity involvement. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an effective learning environment and work as a collaborative team member to inspire other
faculty to adopt emerging technologies and processes in their classes. You will also play an active role in student advising, student recruitment, and graduate placement. The candidate will be expected to further develop community partnerships, as well as participate on Humber College/Departmental committees and advance college initiatives. This
individual will also contribute to the overall direction of the program, assisting with the promotion and marketing of the program, and developing and maintaining strong industry ties.

Education
The successful candidate should possess a post-graduate degree in a related field (design, art, media, engineering, sciences, technology) and a minimum of 5 years of related industry experience. Candidates possessing alternate education paths as well as relevant professional skills/credentials will be considered.
Experience and Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior creative roles
