About the position
The AI and Digital Healthcare Consultant will be part of the AI & Emerging Technology External Collaborations product, within Merger, Acquisitions and Partnering in the Science and Research domain within the Global Informatics team.
The consultant will synthesize and mobilize knowledge from experiments into core business, gather evidence to provide to future-proof Roche, and streamline knowledge mobilization between various domain experts. In this role, the consultant works collaboratively and closely with senior leaders within Roche global and affiliate organizations to understand current and future trends in AI and Emerging Technology in Healthcare and co-create healthcare solutions.
Your key responsibilities
You will be the AI and Emerging Technology team liaison between core business and science and research within global informatics
You will provide optimize existing and develop and implement new business processes and models and programs which de-risk and develop innovations in the AI and Emerging Technology domain from PoC to scale (ie. AI- startup accelerator program)
You will develop and nurture long-term relationships with public and private external stakeholders to drive the opportunity funnel alongside various division within Roche (Informatics, Partnering, M&A, gRED/pRED, DIA/RIS)
You will work with a multidisciplinary team (ie. Data Scientists, Partnering, Clinicians, Finance) on data-driven methods to de-risk AI and Emerging Technologies for investment.
You will gather and Synthesize Evidence to \xe2\x80\x9cFuture-Proof\xe2\x80\x9d Roche Organizational Structure and Capabilities: Engage with global experts, within and beyond the Roche organization, to explore and generate evidence of the organizational structure, business processes, capabilities and programs required to develop, implement, and commercialize at scale AI and DH solutions that complement and augment Roche\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio as a health solutions company.
Streamline knowledge mobilization between various domain experts: connect with internal and external expertise from across domains (scientific, medical, technical, regulatory, etc) as well as across sector (outside the healthcare sector) to understand market barriers and opportunities to sustainably overcome them through scalable innovative solutions, including unique business models exploring our future Roche Health Solutions business to recognize and capture value where appropriate along the health delivery value chain to patients
Mobilize knowledge from Experiments into Core business: (ie. Develop SOPs, Toolkits, synthesize multi-stakeholder consortium outputs and distill valuable elements into scalable core business processes both at the local and global level
Promote and educate the core business and broader organization on the importance and applicability of AI and Emerging Technology in healthcare by increase awareness and collaboration in this important area, this may include speaker series, Town hall, all-hands meeting, etc.
Your qualifications and experience:
Masters/PhD Degree in Business Administration/Finance and or Masters/PhD Degree in Life Science/Data Science
Investment experience within the innovation sector and/or AI
Professional certifications in healthcare, AI and Digital Health are assets
Passionate and visionary leader with at least 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry and a focus on business models, strategy, and innovation
Experience leading diverse, multi-stakeholder, cross-functional teams. Ability to lead effectively, make strong and informed decisions and build relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to forge relationships across disciplines and internal business units to build consensus
Experience in data analysis, quick decision making, problem solving, and analytical mindset
Big picture thinker, organized and with high attention to detail
Team player with the ability to think independently and consider cross-functional and downstream impacts
A self-starter who thrives working in a fast, dynamic, start-up like environment; highly motivated with an entrepreneurial drive, enthusiastic to take on a variety of challenges and opportunities
