Job Description

HT School Photography specializes in primary, preschool, childcare and elementary school Photography across Canada. HT is looking for a professional family and portrait photographer to work within the Victoria area to take individual and group photos at preschools a few days a week/month with their own studio lighting, equipment and camera.

Typical day's schedule would be to arrive at the school at 8:30am, set up a 4ft coloured paper background which we supply and your lights which takes about 30 min. Then from 9am-10am photograph 20 children's individual photos in a variety of poses such as head and shoulder, close ups and a three-quarter pose and then take a class group photo of the class. Then you would have a lunch break and come back to do an afternoon class usually from 12:30pm-1:30pm for 20 children. Pack up by 2pm. After the school shoot you would batch colour edit and crop the photos and Dropbox them to us in 5-10MB jpegs. Each child will have approximately 10-12 photos in various poses above.

The dates are Monday-Friday and flexible. We are hoping to work with someone that is available a few days a month for the fall and spring seasons. Training will be provided but we are looking for an experienced studio photographer with their own lights, background stand and camera only please.
