Deliver engaging and age-appropriate math lessons aligned with the curriculum and students' learning needs.
Assess students' skills and tailor lessons to address individual strengths and areas for improvement.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and/or guardians.
Maintain classroom management and ensure students stay focused and motivated.
Collaborate with the program coordinator to develop and refine lesson plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior teaching or tutoring experience, preferably with school-aged children.
Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts up to all levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching certification or relevant credentials.
Familiarity with Ontario Curriculum.
Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs.
