Deejay Dawg

is expanding and seeking experienced, professional Event DJs to join our roster. This position is not suitable for beginners, hobby DJs, or genre-restricted DJs.

We are hiring 10 experienced Event DJs for weddings, corporate events, and private functions throughout the Greater Vancouver Area. This contract role requires strong open-format skills, weekend availability, professionalism, and the ability to follow event instructions and procedures. Performance is evaluated, and booking opportunities are based on reliability and quality of work.

Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:

Minimum 2 years of proven live DJ experience Fluent across multiple music genres and styles (open-format) DJs who only play one genre should not apply Weekend availability is mandatory DJs with no professional event experience should not apply

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DJ weddings, corporate events, lounges, and private functions Read the crowd and adapt music selection in real time Follow event timelines, client instructions, and musical guidelines Arrive on time and dressed professionally for every event Set up, operate, and break down DJ equipment when required Submit a detailed show report immediately after each event (mandatory)

MUSIC EXPECTATIONS

DJs must be confident playing and blending a wide range of music, including but not limited to:
Top 40, Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Dance, Throwbacks, Open-Format

Genre-restricted DJs are not a fit for this role.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years of verifiable DJ experience Professional DJ equipment (controller or CDJs and laptop) Reliable transportation Strong communication and professionalism Ability to follow SOPs and event instructions

PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION

DJs are evaluated on punctuality, professionalism, communication, music selection, and compliance with company procedures. Failure to follow event instructions or submit required show reports may result in fewer booking invitations or removal from the DJ roster.
