Responsibilities

Develop and deliver comprehensive French language lessons tailored to diverse student needs and proficiency levels. Design instructional materials and activities that promote active learning and cultural immersion. Utilize online student portal to organize course content, assignments, and assessments. Incorporate research-based teaching strategies and instructional design principles to enhance learning outcomes. Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback. Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, curiosity, and respect. Stay updated with the latest developments in language teaching methodologies and incorporate them into lessons. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum improvements and participate in professional development activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in teaching French, preferably with classroom experience at various levels. Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and research-based teaching practices. Familiarity with online teaching tools and technologies to facilitate effective remote or hybrid instruction. Excellent communication skills in both French and English. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that foster active participation and cultural appreciation. A degree in Education, French Language, Linguistics, or related field is preferred; relevant teaching certifications are a plus.
