Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production/Shop Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high-quality standards in fabrication and assembly processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the production team to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols. Oversee the fabrication and assembly of products, ensuring that all processes align with company standards. Implement Lean manufacturing principles to optimize production workflows and reduce waste. Utilize SAP and MRP systems for effective inventory management and production planning. Conduct regular quality control assessments to maintain product integrity and compliance with industry standards. Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with overall business objectives. Train and mentor staff on best practices in manufacturing processes and quality assurance.

Skills

Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a managerial role. Prefer candidates with cabinet/woodworking experience. Prefer candidates who have Project Management/construction experience. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficient in using SAP or similar MRP systems for production management. Demonstrated ability to implement quality control measures successfully. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance enhancement.
