Job Description

Reflex Manufacturing Ltd. is a major supplier / manufacturer of Reusable Flexible Insulation Systems in Western Canada's industrial insulation and Oil and Gas markets. A significant part of our manufacturing process involves sewing together various materials to form the jacket, liner and assembly components of our insulation covers. We work with industrial textiles and fiberglass insulation materials.

Production Worker (Stuffer)

vacancy in our manufacturing facility.

Job Duties

Obtain insulation pocket (sewn jacket and liner) and cut insulation from shelf Review specifications including insulation size and fasteners Stuff insulation into jacket Verify any thinned areas have been traced and accounted for Ensure corners are filled appropriately with insulation Fasten insulation in place with quilting pins according to Reflex standards or job instructions Staple open edges together for closers Ensure high standards of craftship and efficiency Ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety Communicate with Shop Supervisor and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve issues Be willing to work in other departments as need arises Assist in packing, sewing tracer wrap and closing Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris, including metal debris, between tasks and at end of day

Work Conditions

Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade Selection, maintenance, and use of required personal protective equipment Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 18 kilograms / 40 pounds Shop hours are from the 6 am to 3:00 pm. Monday to Friday with the possibility of overtime.
Reflex will work with the successful candidate to educate you on our systems by teaming you up with highly experienced tenured coworkers. These individuals will train you to stuff insulation into the jackets and work throughout our shop in a safe and efficient manner in order to become an integral part of our team!
