Sprung Structures' 13-decade history began in 1887 designing custom canvas products. The Sprung family of inventors innovated and improved the technology over the years, applying it for structures in multiple industries including, military bases, schools, hospitals, sports arenas, fabrication plants, warehouses, and now sound stages.

Sprung is looking for qualified individuals to fill the role of General Labourer in our Production Shop at our company headquarters in Aldersyde, Alberta.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Primary duties will include but are not limited to the assembly of components, machine operation, using various tools to drill, grind, or deburr aluminum or steel components; and helping other departments as necessary.

Qualifications

As there are multiple roles to be filled, vacancies will be filled according to experience listed on a resume. In addition to the basic requirements listed below, those with forklift tickets would be an asset.

1 year experience and solid knowledge of equipment and basic tools. Ability to read a tape measure in imperial system. Able to drive a 5th wheel tilt trailer. Knowledgeable of Calgary routes and surrounding areas. Able to perform repetitive tasks: packaging. Able to accurately count while packaging. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly. Familiar with the manufacturing industry, with construction industry experience. Strong reading and writing skills in English for labels, safety warnings and guidelines. Attention to detail is a must. Ability to meet deadlines with a great safety record.
Skill in excess of these requirements will be considered an asset.

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday

6:30 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours)

Sprung Instant Structures is located in Aldersyde, about 10 km south of Okotoks. The successful candidate must have transportation to and from our office.
