Job Description

We are looking for a production worker to assist our manufacturing plant. Our plant is located in rural Wetaskiwin so public transportation in not available.

This is a full time seasonal position to start April 10, 2025 and continue until the fall.

DUTIES:

Gather and weigh out materials Following instructions to manufacture products (heating, mixing and pressing) Operate multi-function packaging equipment. Confirm cartons, carton seals, code date, and correct components are used. Make all necessary adjustments as required. Complete required setups and wash-ups. Maintain shift logs of production (how many units of each product were produced). Maintain a clean and orderly work area and warehouse

SKILLS, INTERESTS, VALUES:

Good health and stamina. A high degree of co-ordination and manual dexterity. The ability to work steadily and safely in a fast pace environment. The ability to perform routine tasks, while remaining alert and flexible. The ability to read and understand written specifications and instructions. Some mechanical aptitude for maintaining the equipment would be an asset. Ability to work with others and give good direction when needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

:

On the job training will be provided and monitored for a period of time before the production workers is ready to work independently. In some situations, workers may be "cross trained" on other machines as well. 1 year in a manufacturing role, preferred but not required

Package manufactured products (Filling, labeling, boxing, palatalizing) Sanitation of work area Following all quality standards Following all safety procedures Adhering to company policies Forklift experience an asset Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 25kg bags frequently to a height of 48 inches.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to some noise and dust and variable temperatures. At times may be required to work at heights, or outside Working overtime and Saturdays may be required at times. Working safely is a condition of employment.
