The Role



We are looking for a

PRODUCTION

WORKER

whose main responsibilities are:

1) Assist in kitchen operations to produce our fresh, hand-made tempeh, which may involve:

Processing beans and peas for fermentation Weighing, drying, packing, and fermenting tempeh Slice, deep fry and package tempeh chips Package and label final fermented products Cleaning production floor and general cleaning Sweeping, mopping floors and dishwashing Removing garbage from containers Assisting other members in production duties as needed Asset: sale skills for special events
2) Attend farmers markets, demos, and other events as needed

Shifts:



Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri : 7:30am to 5:30pm (10 hr shifts)
*Work hours are subject to changes depending on operational needs

We expect applicants to be available during these times.

Additional overtime may be occur during busy seasons (spring and summer).

Qualifications:



WE WILL ONLY CONSIDER STUDENT/WORKING VISA, PERMANENT RESIDENTS AND CANADIAN CITIZENS



Legally entitled to work in Canada Has a valid Social Insurance Number to work The ability to lift up to 40 pounds Have a means of transportation to the facility 1-2 years of kitchen/production experience Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset

Work Environment:



Regularly stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shifts Accommodate customers and engage with people at the farmers market / events

Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:

kitchen/foods manufacturing: 2 years (preferred)
