What You'll Do:
The Production Workers in our Operations Department act as junior Machine Operators within our heavy industrial manufacturing facility. They have an important role in providing verification of the quality of the product being produced and maintaining safety while operating equipment related to manufacturing, while supporting the wider site operations and senior Machine Operators.
Production Workers report to the Department Shift Supervisors or designate. The role involves significant physical exertions such as having to move up and down stairs, bend, lift, carry items, push and pull, gripping, etc. Safety is our # 1 priority.
Shift Premiums are provided for the required shift rotation. All applicants will be required to follow the shifts outlined below which rotate every 2 weeks:

10:30pm to 6:00am
*Note that some departments are on a staggered shift schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Examples of Duties:
Operation of production machinery
Operation of an overhead crane
Operation of forklift
Assisting senior Machine Operators at assigned work stations (i.e. lifting / moving product up to 50 lbs.)
Warehouse / manufacturing work (i.e. moving up and down stairs, bending, lifting, and carrying items)
Production department housekeeping (i.e. sweeping, machine cleaning, shoveling, painting, vacuuming, etc.)
Participate in all site specific training as required
Perform other related duties to support the overall success of the operation
What You'll Bring:
Physically fit, able to lift 50lbs
Able to follow all safe work practices
Must have CSA approved steel-toed safety boots with non-slip sole
Mechanically inclined
Able to follow direction
Good written and verbal communication skills
Access to a readily available vehicle is preferred
Previous manufacturing experience in an industrial environment is considered an asset
Sit down counterbalance (SDCB) forklift experience is considered an asset
Overhead crane experience is considered an asset
Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) is considered an asset
