JOB OVERVIEW
The Production Member plays a critical role in the building of HCK kitchen cabinets. This individual is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company's quality standards by performing various finishing tasks, including inspection, painting, assembly, packaging, and other final preparation activities. The role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent manual dexterity, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assemble kitchen cabinets on the production line.
Read paperwork to properly complete tasks.
Select materials as per order sheets and complete required tasks.
Safely transport materials to various workstations.
Regularly clean and maintain equipment for efficient and safe operation.
Work safely, complying with all safety guidelines.
Contribute to team efforts and complete other duties as required or assigned.
Thoroughly inspect products for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate efforts and ensure timely task completion.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
Physical Demands
The physical requirements of this position include, but are not limited to:
Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday.
Lifting, carrying, and moving materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, and occasionally heavier items with assistance or lifting equipment.
Repetitive motions, including bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
Manual dexterity to handle tools, parts, and equipment with precision.
Operating machinery and hand tools, requiring steady hand-eye coordination and attention to safety procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, including exposure to sawdust, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, such as hearing protection, eye protection, and safety footwear.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a finishing, manufacturing, or similar role is preferred but not required.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to use hand tools and finishing equipment.
Basic understanding of quality control principles.
Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Capable of lifting and handling products up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs].
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliable.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
