Prairie West Ice Cream is a Manitoba family-owned and operated business dedicated to producing high-quality ice cream products. Our plant is currently CFIA, BRC, and Peanut-Free certified. Our plant produces several brands of ice cream in a variety of container sizes and is increasing our portfolio each year with new products and clients. This is a term position:

Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor machinery, fillers, inclusion feeders etc., that involved in the production process, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
Conduct regular quality checks and CCP checks on finished products to meet and maintain high standards prior to entering blast freezer.
Address deviations promptly, ensuring efficiency.
Assist in Production Room set-up; bringing in packaging and ingredients end of day and conduct month-end inventory counting.
Set up staging area and pallet preparation.
Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and equipment malfunctions; perform necessary repairs.
Assist with servicing equipment before, during and after production when necessary.
Ensure refrigerated and frozen ingredients required for the day are accessible and prepared.
Palletize ice cream, and produce accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced.
Complete documentation accurately with minimal errors.
Assist with end of day clean up to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Adhere to strict hygiene, safety, and good manufacturing and company policies.
Be able to stand for up to 9 hours.
Ensure client and company confidentiality at all times.
Be flexible and adaptable to changes in production schedules and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 years of food manufacturing experience is a MUST, dairy preferred.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP procedures.
Mechanically inclined with attention to details.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Pallet jack/ forklift operation experience is preferred.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Training for safe use and chemicals handling.
Effective communication skills, able to provide and receive information and direction.
Collaborative and energetic team player with positive attitude.
Adaptable in a fast-paced environment, calm reaction to production challenges.
Steel toed shoes are required

Work Schedule:
Full-Time: Tuesday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (10 hours shift; 40 hours per week)
