Wilton Cheese Factory

Production Workers in the Cut/Package Room perform the duties required to complete; pre-operation checks and sanitation procedures, the daily cleaning, cutting, and packaging of cheese (or packaging fresh curd) and other associated tasks, and post-operation checks and sanitation procedures.

Job Requirements

Must be currently living in the Kingston, Ontario Canada area.

Hours of work are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Days of work are Monday to Friday.

Must be punctual, dependable (able to show up for work as scheduled).

Work is fast-paced and physically demanding.

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Able to be flexible and responsive to changing production requirements.

Able to follow verbal instructions.

Able to read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other pertinent documents.

Able to work safely and abide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

Able to lift 18 - 25 kgs.

Able to work as a team, and treat others with respect.

Must complete all required employment training (on-line and on-the-job).

Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes, but is not limited to, hair/beard net, slip-resistant boots, and gloves, in accordance with GMP guidelines. T-shirts or smocks, and pants are provided for working in a clean production environment.

Experience an asset, but not essential as all training is provided.

Basic computer literacy is an asset.

Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Note: Benefits available after six (6) months of continuous employment.
