Production Welder

to our team.

Job Summary

As a Production Welder at Quest Fabrication, you will focus on the consistent, high-quality welding and fabrication of manufactured products for a variety of fleet and industrial vehicles. This role emphasizes production welding in a fast-paced shop environment, balancing efficiency with precision. The position involves both independent and team-based work, with some lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Job Duties

Reporting directly to the Shop Foreman, the Production Welder will:

Perform repetitive, high-quality welds on steel and aluminum components. Weld and assemble manufactured products to meet production schedules and customer specifications. Focus on aluminum welding as a significant portion of daily work. Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a production-based environment. Follow safety protocols and shop procedures at all times. Participate in job rotation and training opportunities to broaden skills (if desired). Carry out other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Proven knowledge of steel and aluminum welding. Strong understanding of FCAW, SMAW, and GMAW processes. Previous production welding experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Mechanical knowledge and ability to operate equipment such as Brake & Shear considered an asset. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
