The

Production Utility Labourer

position within the Production department are responsible for performing tasks such as shipping, pipe movements and operating production machinery in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined safety, quality and operations standards.


Please note: Tenaris requires employees to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and fit test for this position as it is a safety sensitive position.


Responsibilities:




This specialty is an entry level position which can lead to progression to coating operators. Perform material handing activities such as loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment such as conveyor belt, overhead crane or jib crane Conduct and accurately complete pre-safety checklists Assist with equipment setup and machine/line changeover in an efficient and safe manner Using power and manual tools, complete tasks safely, efficiently and to quality standards Carry out duties in an effective manner meeting safety, quality, productivity and efficiency standards Ensure proper use of the company assets, as well as checking, and reporting of malfunctioning equipment Attend and participate in training activities to maintain and increase company knowledge Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities Actively participate in company safety procedures and programs: correct unsafe work practices or situations; follow reporting protocols for violations; participate in the Hazard Identification process Perform other duties as required, including, but not limited to warehouse activities, housekeeping and administrative duties Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances and attend and participate in department safety meetings


Qualifications:




Minimum 1 year experience in an industrial setting Candidates with experience in shift and/or on call work are preferred Knowledge of safe equipment operation and procedures, maintenance and cleaning standards Forklift certification, an asset
Jib Crane or Overhead certification is an asset
