Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Intern to join our manufacturing team.

This internship provides industry knowledge of Energy and Power/Electrical busiess, Power Transmission and Distribution, and cable manufacturing, as well as hands-on experience in a dynamic production environment, offering valuable insights into manufacturing processes, assembly, and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses mechanical aptitude, and has an interest in developing skills related to electrical industrial equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

:

Willing to hand on the workshop floor, learning equipment and production operations Assist with assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools to support production lines Learn and operate machines under supervision Support machine maintanance Support the maintenance and organization of the warehouse, ensuring safety and efficiency Participate in routine inspections of manufacturing equipment and report any issues Learn Production schedule, and production planning Help with inventory management and documentation of production activities Collaborate with team members to improve workflow processes and safety standards Gain exposure to mechanical systems and manufacturing techniques through guided training

Requirements

Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a electrical, technical, mechanical, or manufacturing program preferred Prior manufacturer experience is a plus but not required Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and interest in manufacturing environments Ability to work safely around machinery and adhere to safety protocols Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning Ability to lift light to moderate loads and stand for extended periods during shifts
Job Type: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
