Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Technician - Motion Pictures & Broadcasting to support our outdoor film production operations. This role involves assisting with camera setups, lighting, audio equipment, and field logistics in various remote locations across British Columbia. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in challenging outdoor environments and supporting fast-paced production schedules.
Responsibilities
Assist with setting up, operating, and maintaining digital cinema cameras, audio devices, lighting equipment, and other production tools.
Coordinate with camera operators and other technical staff to support filming activities.
Organize and prepare production equipment before each shoot, ensuring all items are functional and safely loaded for travel.
Assist in identifying and preparing props, gear, and materials required for filming.
Support production activities in remote or wilderness environments, including carrying equipment, setting up tents, and handling on-site logistics.
Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed.
Follow safety procedures during travel and on-set operations, especially in remote or hazardous outdoor settings.

Outdoors, remote locations
Various natural environments (mountains, forests, lakes, off-road areas)
Fast-paced and physically demanding
Exposure to weather conditions such as rain, wind, cold, and uneven terrain
Requirements
1 year to less than 2 years of related experience
Ability to work under pressure and in physically demanding conditions
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to remote locations
Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 37.5 per week
