About the Role



We are seeking an experienced

Production Technician III

to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Decatur, IL. This role is critical to ensuring that sterile products are produced safely, accurately, and in compliance with cGMP standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical/mechanical skills, prior experience in aseptic or sterile manufacturing environments, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain high-speed filling equipment.

Key Responsibilities



Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on filling lines, vial cappers, and tray loading lines. Perform fill weight checks, oxygen-in-headspace analysis, and torque checks on finished products. Set up and execute sterile solution filtration processes. Operate autoclaves, dry heat ovens, washers, and related sterile processing equipment. Clean, prepare, and assemble filling gear for aseptic manufacturing. Complete and review batch records, SOPs, and related documentation with accuracy. Train new employees and act in a supervisory role when required. Maintain a clean and compliant environment in line with cGMP and safety requirements. Participate in pre-FAT testing, equipment validation, and new technology implementations.

Qualifications



High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical/mechanical training preferred. 3-5 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years at Technician II level or equivalent. Strong technical troubleshooting, machine alignment, and change-over skills (filling line experience highly preferred). Familiarity with cGMP standards and aseptic/cleanroom operations. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and push heavy carts (500-1000 lbs.) with assistance. Willingness to work in sterile and potentially hazardous environments with proper PPE.

Work Environment



Cleanroom manufacturing setting with exposure to autoclaves, dry heat ovens, and sterile processes. Handling of caustic, flammable, or hazardous materials (safety equipment provided). Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required for extended periods.
