Reporting to the Production Team Lead, the Production Technician is responsible for processing and packaging cannabis products and extracts for client orders. You are expected to follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) guidelines to accurately execute processes and procedures within a high-tempo environment. This role requires a team player with exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated computer literacy.
Work Schedule:
Day Shift:
Monday to Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm
Afternoon Shift:
Monday to Friday 3:00pm - 12:00am
Key Responsibilities:
Read and follow detailed and precise SOPs related to manufacturing processes, as well as pre- and post-processing activities.
Prepare and execute extraction and post-processing of cannabis products.
Ensure consistency of product through adherence to procedures and quality control testing.
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the safe and proper operation of any/all applicable machinery, instrumentation, and equipment.
Ensure that proper sanitation ismaintainedand recorded for all production equipment and tools including workspaces, processing equipment, containers, and appliances.
Work towards meeting department goals around efficiencies,yieldsand cost.
Accurately pack and prepare products to be shipped to medical and recreational sales channels.
Follow company policies and SOPsregardingwork area compliance, safety, and functionality.
Adhere to GPP guidelines and follow good documentation practices (GDP).
Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
Use of digital scales to record weights and takeaccurateweight measurements, advanced math skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Complete documentation of all work tasks and processes.
Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the facility with focus and personal contributions towards a clean and organized assigned work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Close attention to detail.
Must have the ability to multi-task, coupled with a sound mechanical aptitude.
Excellent time management, leadership, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Health Canada regulations and GMP (an asset but not required).
Working Conditions:
Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
Working in a controlled, regulated environment.
Compliance with safety and sanitation standards, including wearing protective equipment.
