Job Description

Neocon International is looking to add 10 new Production Technicians on our Day and Night shifts and 5 to our Weekend shift to aid our production team in the assembly process. Candidates must have legal authorization to work on a full-time basis for Neocon International in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada for at least 24 months from the hiring date, which is anticipated to be between October 15th and 30th. Successful candidates will work on the various products including cargo trays, seat back protectors, bumper covers, door scuff protectors, all weather mats, vehicle flooring and learn to operate various secondary production equipment. Ultimately, successful candidates will be expected to progress through all secondary operations and learn to operate various thermoforming and production equipment on their way to become full Production Machine Operators.

Neocon is looking for candidates who are punctual, hardworking, reliable, willing to learn and have the ability to communicate with other production staff, quality personnel, lead hand and supervisors.

Attention to detail is a key skill to have at Neocon as each new employees will be learning the quality expectations of various products on the job from other production technicians, mentors and shift trainers. Almost immediately a new employee will be relied upon to identify quality defects and make use of a keen eye to ensure defective product is not sent to a customer.

A strong ability to understand written instruction is also a must as all processes and products have very detailed work instructions and process instructions in digital format for all employees to follow. A strong understanding of the English language is a must.

Finally, the ability to work well with others in a diverse work force is required. Mutual respect and common courtesy go a long way.

Neocon's Day shift runs Monday through Thursday 7am to 6pm. All entry level Production Technician positions start at a rate of $17.25/hour with overtime paid after 44 hours.

Neocon's Night shift runs Monday through Thursday 7pm to 6am . All entry level Production Technician positions start at rate of $17.25/hour with a Night shift premium added. Overtime is paid after 44 hours .

Neocon's Weekend Shift runs Friday through Sunday 6am to 6pm. All entry level Production Technician positions start at a rate of $17.25/hour with a Weekend shift premium added. Overtime is paid after 44 hours.
