As a key member of the Manufacturing team and under the leadership of the Production Manager, the Production Technical Specialist is responsible for ensuring the product is in compliance with customer standards and production goals and targets are met. The Production Technical Specialist is responsible for continuously improving the process and having constant/consistent communication between our headquarters in Japan and Mitsui High-tec (Canada), Inc., and training (handover/education of all local staff)

Duties & Responsibilities:



Operation and management for stable production Determining quality control standards and ensuring production staff is trained Assessing project and resource requirements Re-negotiating timescales or schedules, as necessary Troubleshooting activities are completed with Production Team Members, Production Team Leaders, Production Supervisors, Engineering and Maintenance to ensure optimal line uptime Assist with budgets and long-term employee plans Communicates Company programs and practices and communicates to the team in a timely manner Ensures that team members are treated with respect and always encourages an atmosphere of openness and fairness Takes direction comfortably, able to multi-task, managing time efficiently to obtain optimum results Management of equipment and machinery in the plant Provide technical services expertise to Customers/Users Provide education and training to present and future employees Communicate with the Motor Core Business Unit (MCBU) at headquarters in Japan Other duties as required

Qualifications:



Min 3 years' experience as a Production Specialist in a manufacturing (press, mold and/or annealing) environment and/or demonstrated work experience/internal training/testing Experience in a Supervisory position Strong presentation, written and verbal skills Ability to identify the development needs of employees and provide coaching and mentoring Computer literacy, including effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email Attention to detail in all areas of work Professional appearance and manners
