A leader in the Maritime Forest Products Industry, the Doaktown Sawmill is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Production Support.

The Job:

Being a part of the Production Support team means your primary responsibility is to provide general labour support to the production teams while ensuring the safe and continued operation of the Doaktown Sawmill, Planer mill, and Value-Added lines. This position will start immediately, providing shift relief as required. The ideal candidate for this role will understand that this position will include shifts that can operate overnight.

Some key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Cleaning up shavings and sawdust from around the site
• Handling and lifting materials safely
• Committing to and always promoting the use of safe practices
• Other general labour responsibilities

The Qualifications:

Education, certifications, and experience required:

• Education Required: High School
• Years of Experience Required: 1+ years in a physical labour role
• Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal supervision

Education, certifications, and experience considered an asset:

• Trade certification and experience considered an asset
• Experience in a sawmill or production/manufacturing setting
