Production Supervisor

. You can contribute to the further success of the company by ensuring smooth operations throughout the production and distribution process to guarantee production timelines and high-quality standards.

The successful candidate will oversee the daily production of fabrication and welding parts, employee allocation and scheduling needs. Reporting to the President the candidate will supervise 14 skilled and general labourers.

Your Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Planning and preparing production schedules, reports, material requirements etc according to customer orders Providing support, direction, and supervision to all staff under charge and address/resolve any staffing related issues or concerns Ensure timely, full and accurate communication with all relevant departments on any factors which impact delivery dates, commitments to customers, quality etc. Expediting operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Coordinating and leading weekly production meeting. Communicating with various departments on any potential production issues or needs Working collaboratively as part of the management team Working to optimize safety and efficiency in production through continual evaluation of processes. Responsible for recruitment, selection, training, performance reviews, progressive discipline and termination of staff. Providing hazard information, proper safety equipment and training to all workers as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Ensuring conformance to inspection requirements and all quality management system processes Responsible for ensuring optimal functioning and maintenance of all departmental equipment. All other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Grade 12 education or equivalent experience Associate's or bachelor's degree in related area an asset 5+ year experience in metal fabrication/welding CWB Certified Weld Shop Supervisor Ticket would be an asset Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate Forklift certified (or capacity to operate a forklift). Previous experience in production planning an asset

Other skills and abilities required:

Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite Organizational skills Detailed oriented Ability to use basic measuring devices (square, calipers, verniers, measuring tape) Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings Ability to communicate effectively with others, using interpersonal skills and diplomacy and can work with all levels of the organization Ability to work on own initiative Ability to meet objectives, prioritize and execute strategies in a timely manner

Salary:

$72,000 to $77,000

/ yr plus bonuses, depending on experience.
