The Opportunity Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will be a key component to maximizing the safety, quality, and productivity in our daily operations throughout the plant operations. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter that demonstrates initiative, displays both problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and has excellent organizational skills. The Production Supervisor uses their interpersonal abilities and positive, ?can-do? approach to tackle complex and evolving business needs, serving as a coach to develop employees in the department. Leading by example, the Production Supervisor identifies and works to implement, initiatives that drive efficiency and improve business operations. What you will be doing

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the team;
  • Responsible for achievement of performance (KPI?s);
  • Execute strategic plans to achieve business goals;
  • Consult with Manger on personnel issues within the department, progressive discipline, coaching, and staffing decisions;
  • Maintain employee performance records;
  • Responsible for time and attendance recording of employees;
  • Conduct weekly toolbox safety talks;
  • Foster and maintain a healthy work environment for all employees;
  • Analyze and solve process-related problems;
  • Collaborate and interact with various department heads to achieve business objectives;
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Other duties as may be required.
To qualify, you have
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment would be considered an asset;
  • Post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of training and experience;
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel;
  • Complies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP?s) under the Cannabis Act;
  • Demonstrated progressive ability to motivate and train staff to deliver outcomes of a high-quality standard;
  • Manage change towards achieving business goals.
