Consequently, we are looking for a

full-time Production Supervisor

who would like to join our team. This is a full-time rotating (5x8) days / afternoon schedule, reporting to the Plant Manager. Required overtime, weekends and flexibility needed on occasion to ensure adequate coverage. This position is located on site in Windsor, Ontario.

Duties and Responsibilities



1. Leadership & Team Management



Work with Scheduling and Logistics Supervisor (S&L) on daily production plan to optimize resource and machine utilization and relay work assignments to Team Leaders for delegation to employees

Support and Coach Team Leads to ensure proper work instructions (WI) are followed

Assign competent team members to onboard / orientate new / transferred employees and ensure training work instructions are completed

Partner with Team Leads to prepare and conduct quarterly performance reviews

Participate in all management, sales, production, and quality meetings

Coach, motivate, and recognize team members to promote a culture of continuous improvement, change management and best practices

Act as a Backup for S&L Supervisor, complete Past Due report and communicate at huddle board daily, oversee Shipping and Receiving and support with employee requests, and delegate fleet loads for the Truck Drivers

2. Production & Operations



Address material and tool needs within the shop

Communicate quality metrics, on-time delivery (OTD), efficiencies and production obstacles at the huddle board daily meetings

Support Team Leads to coordinate personnel, machines, and material resources

Enter, review, and approve employee time and attendance data in the Human Resource Management System (HRMS); manage vacation schedule and ensure sufficient coverage is available

Work with Maintenance Supervisor to assist with troubleshooting for machine repairs

Implement company policies and objectives as required

Review daily dispatch reports with S&L Supervisor / Team Leads. Align production with customer delivery expectations & ensure priority jobs are completed on time

Work with team to reduce NPL and increase machine up time

3. Quality & Continuous Improvement



Lead and manage Internal Non-Conformance (INC) and Voice of Customer (VOC) investigations, including 8D problem-solving, root cause analysis, and resolution activities in collaboration with internal teams; ensure timely closure in the database per procedural guidelines and communicate with customers when directed

Complete weekly Layered Process Audit (LPA) as per plant schedule

Work with HR to investigate and review quality non-conformances of team members and deliver corrective action progressive discipline when required

Provide input to Corporate Quality Manager on process / procedure changes

4. Health, Safety and Compliance



Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OH&S) and company-specific safety standards

Deliver safety talks and share safety-related updates in team meetings

Proactively identify, communicate, and act on workplace hazards

Ensure Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) operator checklists are done

Lead and document investigations into accident/incident investigation and near misses

Actively participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to the development of a strong safety culture by leading through example

Ensure employees use all protective devices and equipment as required

Education, Experience, Training and Other Skills



College/University or equivalent

5+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment with a minimum of 3 year's supervision or leadership experience.

Preferred experience in CNC machining, engineering, or fabrication--expertise in more than one area is a strong asset.

Must possess blueprint reading proficiency and knowledge of GD&T standards

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills (safety conscious, continuously strive for growth, ability to motivate, problem solve, reliable, accountable, professional, collaborate and innovate)

Strategic and tactical with ability to drive measurable results

Independent and able to work as a team member

High energy, organized, able to work under pressure

Mechanically inclined, strong technical aptitude and creative/Innovative

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications considered an asset

Working knowledge of Dayforce and ERP software is considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,615.33-$80,500.74 per year
