As a leader in manufacturing walk-in coolers, freezers, and insulated panels, Norbec is known for innovation and quality.
In this key leadership role, you will oversee the operations of the production line and the workforce assigned to it. You'll be responsible for planning, optimizing, and monitoring daily production activities while ensuring quality standards, efficiency, and health & safety compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise, coach, and motivate the production team;
Ensure production staff follow established procedures;
Oversee employee training and ensure compliance with health & safety standards and procedures;
Anticipate operational workforce needs and assign staff to the appropriate workstations;
Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, probation, and training processes;
Carry out disciplinary or administrative follow-ups with employees under supervision;
Master technical elements of the automated manufacturing line and troubleshoot, train, resolve as issues arise;
Integrate contracts into the production line sequence to minimize setups;
Resolve operational issues and production bottlenecks in collaboration with relevant resources;
Update production data in the IT system and maintain inventories (Nplan, ERP, Epicor);
Keep process control forms up to date and validate product quality in collaboration with the quality control technician;
Gather production sheets for customer files;
Lead weekly meetings on health & safety, KPIs, and ongoing progress;
Maintain a positive work environment fostering respect, teamwork, and productivity;
Listen to employees' opinions and suggestions.
Education and Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in personnel management within a manufacturing or industrial environment;
Experience in continuous production line operations (an asset).
