you will provide daily support to the production team using your skills in continuous improvement, scrap management, troubleshooting and training. You will provide leadership, direction, support, mentoring, and coaching to Production Team Members.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Daily support of production issues
Daily scrap management activities, weekly scrap reporting and SOP (Start of Production) scrap analysis and countermeasures
Lead/Follow-up on continuous improvement activities
Identify and support the implementation of actions and/or countermeasures to comply with the expectations and the requirements of internal and external customers
Production troubleshooting support - moulding and clip machines / extrusion areas
Work with the team members to achieve production objectives
React in abnormal situations (breakdowns, lack of manpower, etc.) by utilizing the necessary resources
Ensure pro-active involvement of team members and concerned services in problem solving or project organization
Inform managers, colleagues and team members about objectives to be achieved, results, complaints, accidents, info. about the process, organizational information, etc.
Manage and/or identify material and human resources required for the achievement of the objectives
Promote safety through safe work practices
Look for kaizen opportunities in all areas of the process (yield, scrap, customer complaints, manpower)
Track performance indicators (yield, scrap, efficiency) and react to information
Ensure team members are trained and qualified to perform the job according to standards
Ensure all quality checks and documentation are completed as per IATF 16949 standards
Apply the collective agreement and the standards of conduct
Requirements
College Diploma or equivalent experience is required
3-5yrs related experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is an asset
3+yrs supervisory experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is preferred
Critical Competencies and Skills
Project Management
TPS (Toyota Production System)
Understand interpretation of drawings, OIS, control plans, machine design requests, work orders
Knowledge of rubber/plastic characteristics and production parameters
Knowledge of process development activities for new business and Engineering changes-layout and machine commissioning knowledge
AutoCAD, SolidWorks is an asset

This is an offshift position, the successful incumbent must be able to work AFTERNOON (3:00-11:05PM) or NIGHT (11:00PM-7:05AM) SHIFT .
