POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position is responsible for supervising the operations and personnel of the Paint-Blast department. It ensures the department meets company goals and objectives, and ensures employees comply with company policies. The position overview is to be used as a guideline only and may not incorporate all functions of the job.

Direct and coordinate the activities of department employees to meet production goals while maintaining the highest level of quality in a time-sensitive environment Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process, personnel and resources Inspect work in progress and completed to ensure conformance to specifications and adherence to quality standards including dry film thickness Organizing supplies and creating paint orders for upcoming jobs. Keep records on work in progress and completed Prepare work schedules, and work assignments for employees and sets work deadlines Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments

ATTRIBUTES WE SEEK

Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing environment Effective leadership and team-building skills A sound understanding of paint, mixing, and application techniques, as well as of pre-treatment, measurement of paint thickness, and drying procedures Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and effectively manage assignments Detail-oriented and self-directed in execution of tasks Proven sense of urgency in completing tasks Ability to work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
