WHY DO WE NEED YOU?



The Production Supervisor, reporting to the Production Manager, is responsible for fostering a culture of engagement across plant teams to consistently achieve operational objectives. This role ensures collaborative decision-making aligned with plant goals, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), safety requirements, and HR guidelines.



Additionally, the Production Supervisor oversees all site activities and serves as the primary point of contact during off-hours and weekends when plant management is unavailable.



A critical aspect of this role is driving team involvement and sustaining a high-performance culture. The Supervisor leads by example, actively participates in WCM pillars, and supports the development of team


ESSENTIAL DUTIES





Environment, Health & Safety


Continuously evaluate the workplace for safety concerns and ensure behavioral safety initiatives meet established goals. Foster a strong safety culture by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions and practices promptly to prevent injuries and property loss. Conduct regular safety audits, investigations, and job safety analyses. Promote a behavioral safety culture among shift teams, targeting zero injuries. Supervise safe operations of the entire site during assigned hours.

Quality & Customer Service


Coordinate with other departments to ensure production meets customer requirements (on-time, on-spec) by achieving targets for Stock Record Accuracy (SRA) and Plant Schedule Adherence (PSA). Maintain a broad understanding of customer needs and participate in plant visits as required. Ensure compliance with customer complaint procedures for timely and efficient resolution. Guarantee products meet specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with the Production Manager to schedule plant trials supporting innovation targets.

Communication


Facilitate team meetings where members own and track KPIs daily. Act as a communication link between shifts and plant management, helping teams develop action plans and present solutions to stakeholders. Prepare and deliver shift performance reports; ensure full handover at shift changeovers. Promote two-way communication on shift, including adherence to team brief processes. Ensure accurate (100%) and timely (within 15 minutes) ERP data entry.

Leadership


Model CertainTeed Insulation Vision, Mission, Values, and Objectives (VMVO) to maintain a high-performance team culture. Act as plant manager during off-business hours. Provide coaching and leadership to drive World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards, including Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Safety, and People Development. Enforce 5S housekeeping practices, plant rules, and safety regulations; counsel employees and support VMVO and WCM initiatives. Coach associates toward achieving an accident-free worksite while maintaining world-class yield, availability, and reliability. Foster engagement, commitment, and flexibility across shift teams. Monitor progress against company Policy Deployment and ensure alignment with objectives. Take cross-departmental responsibility for site-wide issues and make decisions based on broader business needs. Audit shift teams for compliance with SOPs, AM/PM standards, and site Safety, Environment, and Quality System requirements.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

REQUIREMENTS:




Two (2) years of post-high school education. Five (5) years of manufacturing/industrial/technical experience, or two (2) years of experience teaching, leading, or coaching. Flexible, open-minded team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities to work effectively in corporate, manufacturing and team environments.

Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
