About the Role

We are seeking a

hands-on Production Supervisor

to oversee daily manufacturing operations across KL Jane (bedding & soft goods), BellowTech (industrial bellows), and StabilFit (medical support products). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys

leading a team while actively participating in production tasks

-- cutting fabrics, filling pillows, assembling products, organizing workflow, and ensuring orders move efficiently from start to finish.

You'll work closely with the office administrator and ownership team to coordinate production schedules, maintain workflow, ensure quality standards are met, and help deliver orders on time.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Workflow Management

Supervise production team members 6-8 people on the floor Assign daily tasks and balance production workload Train new employees on machines and work processes Monitor productivity, efficiency, and quality output Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Hands-On Manufacturing

Cut fabric and materials according to templates and work orders Operate machines or cutting fabric when needed Fill and close pillows/cushions/duvets Assist with assembly of medical support products (e.g. straps, belts, harnesses) Participate directly in production to meet deadlines Support problem-solving when challenges arise

Production Planning & Scheduling

Review sales orders and work orders daily Prioritize jobs based on delivery deadlines Coordinate with office administrator on production schedule Track production progress and provide daily updates Identify capacity constraints and recommend solutions

Shipping & Delivery Coordination

Stage completed orders for shipment Prepare items for pickup or courier drop-off Build pallets and organize outgoing goods Coordinate local deliveries or pickups with customers

Inventory & Materials

Monitor raw material usage and communicate low stock levels Assist with receiving shipments and storing materials Maintain material organization (bins, shelves, racks, labeling)

Qualifications

Forklift license an asset Experience in production, sewing, upholstery, assembly, warehouse, or similar manufacturing environment Hands-on and willing to work alongside team daily Comfortable operating cutting tools, filling machines, or automatic sewing equipment (training provided if needed) Strong communication and team leadership skills Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when handling materials/boxes

Experience supervising or leading a team is a strong asset.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Monday-Friday, daytime hours varying between 7:00am-3:30 or 8:00am-4:30 Full-time permanent role Compensation:

$55,000-$60,000/year depending on experience
