The Production Supervisor (PS) is responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of all production employees within their assigned departments. Leading and supporting a diverse team, the PS ensures that daily workloads and activities are completed safely, efficiently, and consistently to meet customer delivery and quality expectations.
Working collaboratively across multiple departments, the PS applies proactive decision-making to promote effective production processes, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to company standards. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to maintain smooth daily operations and drive continuous improvement on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production employees across assigned departments.
Lead, motivate, and support a diverse team to meet production targets, quality requirements, and delivery timelines.
Review production demands and schedules daily to maintain awareness of open orders, capacity, and workflow priorities.
Identify and communicate staffing, process, or equipment needs proactively to management.
Administer company policies and procedures, ensuring fairness and consistency.
Provide or coordinate training to ensure staff competency and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Manage employee performance through coaching and feedback.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Ballistics, Patches, Purchasing, Customer Service) to resolve bottlenecks and maintain workflow.
Contribute to process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and workplace organization.
Maintain accurate and timely communication between management and production personnel.
Ensure quality checkpoints, including mid and final inspections, are completed accurately and consistently prior to product shipment.
Oversee, train, and support delegated personnel responsible for inspection or quality verification, maintaining accountability for overall production quality.

Quality & Process Control:
Ensures adherence to company standards, supports consistent product quality, and takes timely corrective action to minimize rework or waste.

Builds and maintains a motivated, well-trained production team through coaching, clear direction, and consistent feedback.
Safety & Compliance:
Promotes a safe, organized workplace by enforcing safety protocols, maintaining housekeeping standards, and encouraging hazard reporting.
Communication & Reporting:
Provides accurate, timely updates to management and other departments; demonstrates professional communication and accountability in all interactions.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in textile, apparel, or technical product assembly.
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a team-based production environment.
Strong understanding of production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound, proactive decisions.
Familiarity with production software, ERP systems, or digital work order tracking tools is an asset.
