As the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direct management and handling of all inventories, and transfer for distribution functions.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Manage the planning, scheduling and execution of the production schedule including daily delegation of tasks for our packing lines and bulk loading bins.
• Maintain a strict control over inventory levels to meet internal and external demand of product.
• Work with Logistics to ensure all bulk production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
• Promotes company vision and supports plants culture both in Food Safety and H&S.
• Supervise a team of Material Handlers, including delegation, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials.
• Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment.
• Ensure and maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Identify discrepancies between inventory records and act.
• Assists in audits and corrective actions when required.
• Collaborate with Head Miller/Assistant Head Miller to provide 24/7 on call coverage for the Hanover facility.
• Act as coverage for Warehouse Supervisor and all functions as needed.
• Assist with daily monitoring of milling equipment and milling efficiency.
• Training of employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Team leadership and teambuilding abilities are vital to the success of this role.
• 7-10 years of experience in milling, packing/warehousing environments.
• Logistics experience and a relevant post-secondary education along with evidence of continued learning, ideally with certifications such as P.Log or similar certifications, and business certification or the desire and willingness to learn.
• 5 years of experience in a Supervisory role is preferred.
• Working knowledge of operations, milling, and packing processes.
• Working knowledge of quality control practices and BRCGS regulations.
• Knowledge of HACCP guidelines, P&H Milling\xe2\x80\x99s food and safety policies.
• Maintenance/mechanical knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
