We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated

Production Supervisor to join our Operations Team in Calgary

. The Production Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

The Role:



The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities. This role ensures compliance with food safety standards, optimizes operational efficiency, and leads a team to achieve production targets while maintaining quality and safety. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting operations by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:



Supervise and coordinate production staff to meet daily schedules and output goals. Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and all food safety and regulatory requirements. Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and quality checks. Train and develop team members on safety, quality, and operational procedures. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Enforce health and safety standards and conduct regular audits. Respond promptly to equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:



Degree or Associate degree preferred but not required. 3+ years of proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards. Proficiency in using production management software and tools.

Strong Knowledge of Food Safety & Compliance



Deep understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations. Ability to enforce compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Familiarity with CFIA, or other regulatory bodies.

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making



Quick thinking under pressure to resolve production bottlenecks. Analytical skills to identify root causes and implement preventive measures. Ability to balance quality, cost, and speed effectively.

Technical & Process Knowledge



Understanding of food processing equipment, maintenance basics, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with inventory control, supply chain coordination, and cold chain management. Comfortable with production software and reporting tools.

Communication Skills



Clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams (QA, logistics, procurement). Ability to document processes, prepare reports, and communicate expectations. Strong interpersonal skills for employee engagement and customer audits.

Adaptability & Stress Management



Ability to handle high-pressure situations, especially during peak demand. Flexible to shift changes, unexpected disruptions, and regulatory audits. Resilient and proactive in continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule:



Onsite from 8 AM-5 PM; subject to change per business operational needs. 4 days in the week and 1 day in the weekend. Exposure to cold storage and production floor environments. Shift work, including evenings and weekends, may be required. Must adhere to PPE and safety protocols
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
