We are seeking a candidate for a Production Supervisor role. The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the production team to execute the daily and weekly schedules developed by the Production Planner & Scheduler, using standardized work methods and processes defined by the Manufacturing Process Technologist. The Supervisor ensures throughput targets are achieved while maintaining product quality, workplace safety, and employee engagement. This role provides direction, coaching, and corrective feedback to operators, fosters continuous improvement through kaizen ideas, and investigates root causes of process or personnel issues. The Production Supervisor collaborates closely with the Planner Scheduler, providing real-time execution feedback, highlighting risks, and supporting adjustments when production conditions change

The Core Responsibilities:



Execution of Production Plans



Translate daily/weekly schedules into actionable tasks for SMT, Assembly, and Pack & Ship work centers. Ensure production is carried out according to work instructions, process standards, and quality requirements. Monitor real-time production progress, adjust resources, and escalate issues impacting plan execution. Collaborate with the Planner Scheduler by providing status updates, risks, and execution feedback.

Team Leadership & Morale



Provide clear instruction, training, and feedback to production staff. Foster a positive work environment that encourages accountability and teamwork. Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly. Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements.

Quality & Problem-Solving



Lead root cause investigations for defects, yield issues, and rework. Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Process Technologist to implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality standards. Enforce discipline and corrective actions when required.

Continuous Improvement



Champion operator-driven kaizen ideas and small-scale improvements. Provide feedback to the Planner Scheduler on recurring capacity gaps, shortages, or flow challenges impacting execution. Support structured kaizen events and sustainment of results. Collaborate with Process Technologist to address tooling, fixture, or testing challenges.

Communication & Reporting



Conduct daily standup meetings to align the team on targets, priorities, and safety. Escalate persistent schedule, material, or process issues to Planning and Engineering. Gather and analyze production performance data; present results and corrective plans to management. Maintain accurate attendance and labor tracking records. Ensure production is carried out according to work instructions, process standards, and quality requirements. Monitor real-time production progress, adjust resources, and escalate issues impacting plan execution. Collaborate with the Planner Scheduler by providing status updates, risks, and execution feedback.

Required Skills and Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of production leadership experience in electronics or discrete manufacturing. Strong knowledge of SMT, Assembly, and Pack & Ship processes. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach operators, and build engagement. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement. Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Proficiency in production reporting tools and MS Office (Excel, Power BI)
