We are currently looking to fill a Full-Time Supervisor position with our Production department.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct performance and discipline meetings in accordance with company policies and employment standards. Supervise daily production operations to ensure schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are met. Lead, train, coach, and motivate production staff to maintain high performance and engagement. Monitor production processes and make adjustments to optimize workflow, minimize downtime, and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, CFIA, SQF/BRC, and company quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper sanitation. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and support continuous improvement. Prepare and maintain accurate records for production output, employee performance, inventory usage, and shift reports. Enforce health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for production or quality concerns. Manage shift scheduling, attendance, and performance of production employees. Communicate effectively with management on production status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a unionized food manufacturing or related production environment.

Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, CFIA, GFSI programs such as SQF or BRC). Familiarity with Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and safe work practices. Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Comfortable with conflict resolution, including handling performance and discipline meetings professionally. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement tools is an asset. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
