is seeking a

Production Supervisor

to join our Team. Reporting to the Packaging Senior Supervisor. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision, coordination, and effective management of a team to meet production targets and quality standards. Responsibilities will include the training of staff in production methods, safety, policies, and procedures, as well as the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:





Responsible for the effective management of production targets and goals to ensure sales requirements are achieved.

Identify and correct potential issues related to meeting production targets.

Provide information for production plans to ensure that objectives are achieved.

Resolve issues and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.

Ensure data is entered into Agyle and paperwork is filled out correctly and handed into quality assurance in accordance with policies and procedures.

Fill out daily key performance indicator (KPI) boards.

Hold weekly employee stand up meetings.

Approve employees time and attendance.

Ensure standard operator procedures and training records are maintained and updated.

Assist in supervisor coverage in other departments, when required.

People Management:
+ Leads by example, demonstrating through behaviour, Eden Valley Poultry's values of excellence, visibility, and passion.

+ Provides direct management of a team/department to ensure continuous development of the team members and contribution to the achievement of Eden Valley Poultry's strategic framework.

+ Establish goals and priorities and manage the activities and work of subordinate(s).

+ Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinate(s) to ensure that all assigned work activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.

+ Evaluate their performance by providing feedback to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set targets.

+ Develop team capabilities through continuous on-the-job and formal training opportunities and coaching.

+ Responsible for aspects of human resources functions including onboarding, performance management and disciplinary matters

+ Responsible for the consistent application of the unionized collective agreement.

Requirements and Qualifications:




Minimum of three years' manufacturing experience; including the demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership to a team.
+ Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards is considered an asset.
+ Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
+ Effective communication skills.
+ Well-developed problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.
+ Ability to work well under pressure and achieve set deadlines and goals in a fast-paced environment.
+ Must be able to distinguish colour.
+ Knowledge of process improvement tools.
+ General computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
