Production Scientist
to join our growing team at our facility in
Fredericton, New Brunswick

The Production Scientist will be a key contributor on the production team. This role will perform all aspects of reagent production, assist with lab-related internal procedures and SDSs, as well as oversee general laboratory maintenance including equipment calibrations, water system QA/QC, and general housekeeping and maintenance. This position offers an annual salary range of $45,000 to $50,000 base salary, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, detail-oriented, and highly dependable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, the Production Scientist will have key responsibilities, such as:
Perform all aspects of reagent production including equipment decontamination, reagent batch preparation, QA, dispensing, labelling and record keeping.
Adhere to production schedules and update production planning as required.
Identify and implement continuous improvements and partake in 5S organizational tactics.
Assist with lab-related internal procedures and SDSs.
Generation of procedures for lab-related tasks in accordance with ISO standards.
Oversee general laboratory maintenance including equipment calibrations, water system QA/QC, general housekeeping, and preventative maintenance.
Monitor lab supplies and raw material inventory, initiate requisitions as needed.
Adhere to internal and external standards, such as ISO, GMP/GLP, and LuminUltra's Business Management System.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent field of study.
1-3 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
Knowledge of chemistry principles, calculations, and lab hygiene best practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
Self-motivated and takes initiative.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
