We are seeking an experienced, self-starting individual to join our company as a Production Scheduler. You will maintain production schedules according to customer needs, maximizing effectiveness and throughput in all aspects of the production process. You will also balance incoming sales orders with existing capacity and backlog, manage input materials, distribute upcoming schedules to team leads and supervisors, and coordinate with our leadership team to ensure ideal staffing levels and coverage. This is a specialized position, and our ideal candidate has considerable professional experience within a production environment, especially as related to heavy manufacturing scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and manage integrated production schedules to meet delivery targets and manufacturing goals
Balance existing labor, raw materials, and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput
Closely manage inventory levels of raw and finished goods
Work collaboratively with all departments (sales, production, etc.) to understand challenges and program the facility in the most optimal manner.
Examine all aspects of the scheduling process, including historical data, to optimize production processes wherever possible
Oversee the program schedule, ensuring alignment with milestones, deadlines, and contract terms
Coordinate with cross-functional teams using IMS, SIOP, and regular planning processes
Ensure readiness of raw materials, labor, and equipment across departments including Procurement, Engineering, and Production
Analyze forecasts, backlogs, and inventory to assess and adjust schedules
Monitor schedule performance and resolve conflicts or bottlenecks proactively
Communicate schedule changes and updates to internal and external stakeholders
Support process improvements related to scheduling, lead time, and delivery performance
Maintain accurate schedule records, reports, and KPIs
Report to the leadership team regarding existing orders, challenges, and production forecasting
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
3 to 5 years of experience in scheduling or production planning in a manufacturing environment
Experience with ERP systems
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environments
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and capacity planning
Effective communicator and team collaborator
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA)
CPIM certification is considered a significant asset

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
