Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a Production Resources Coordinator. This position will play a critical role in the day-to-day services provided to Production to ensure all resources, overtime and mandatory safety and trades-based training are coordinated.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. The primary language of work is English. Qualifications:
\xc2\xb7 Education Required: Completion of post-secondary education (Diploma or Degree) in a relevant field
\xc2\xb7 Experience Required: 3-5 years of related administrative experience
\xc2\xb7 Proven experience working with Excel
\xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with all levels of leadership and Union
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Key Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Supports the delivery of PRD programs across the organization by coordinating and executing program logistics, scheduling, organizing necessary materials, and managing facility support
\xc2\xb7 Prepares and maintains PRD training records, including program evaluations, attendance records, and learning schedules for technical and mandatory safety training
\xc2\xb7 Liaises with multiple learning partners, including Directors, managers, Human Resources team, union officials and training vendors to support organization training, overtime, and resourcing requests
\xc2\xb7 Supports the Production resource team by maintaining the learning budget, including the organization of invoices, reconciling costs, sending finance requests, and distributing charges to the appropriate department
\xc2\xb7 Allocation of resources within all areas of construction including Halifax, woodside and marine fab Coordinating subcontract labor to fill any resource gaps
\xc2\xb7 Managing the ISI training records ensuring full compliance within ISI and providing timely and accurate updates to people services partners and senior leaders (as required)
\xc2\xb7 Preparing Union workforce communications related to Learning and Development opportunities and announcements
\xc2\xb7 Daily/Weekly meetings with union officials to ensure full compliance with the collective agreement
