We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Reporting Engineer to join our Production Reporting team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting production data to optimize operations and support decision-making processes. This role is crucial to Suncor Baseplant Extraction operations, ensuring compliance with production-related regulatory reporting requirements. It presents a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact by maintaining transparency and compliance while providing valuable insights into production performance for both internal and regulatory purposes.
Minimum Requirements:Undergraduate degree in engineering specializing in Chemical Engineering with minimum two years work experience. Masters degree specializing in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering would be an asset
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Knowledge of oil sands extraction processes and technologies is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities:Develop and maintain production reporting systems to ensure accurate and timely data analysis and reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform daily and monthly reconciliation plant mass balances and track the Bitumen variance within the regional sites
Support the update of the AER S-23 Manual for Extraction operations activities and monitor changes in regulations and update reporting processes accordingly.
Collaborate with various teams to address production reporting and regulatory concerns while optimizing processes
Utilize analytical tools to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of production processes, methodologies, and reporting standards
Location & other key details:You will work out of our Base Plant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will not be provided; we offer competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
