Job Summary



We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated

Production Quality Control (QC) Technician

to join our QA team at a federally registered meat processing facility. The QC Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that all products meet federal regulatory standards, customer specifications, and company quality and food safety protocols. This role supports continuous compliance with CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) or USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) requirements, depending on the country.

Key Responsibilities



Perform routine quality inspections of meat related products on the production floor to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards. Monitor and verify critical control points (CCPs) as outlined in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) plans. Conduct pre-operational and operational sanitation inspections. Collect and document quality data (e.g., temperatures, weights, visual checks, packaging integrity). Verify product labeling and packaging accuracy, including allergen controls and expiry dates. Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished products. Perform basic swab testing. Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities to the Quality Assurance team and production supervisors. Participate in internal audits and assist with third-party and federal inspections (e.g., CFIA, USDA, BRC, SQF). Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inspections and findings. Provide feedback and support to production staff to promote quality awareness and continuous improvement. Assist in investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions. Adhere to company policies regarding food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and health & safety.

Working Conditions:



Cold and wet environment. Shift work may be required, including weekends and holidays. May start from Morning Shift (7:00 am to 3:00pm)

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
