Who we need

We are seeking a Production Project Manager to develop and optimize the Master Production Schedule. You will drive production, and act as a critical point of communication with Business Unit (BU), Production control and Operations teams at the Master sample approval stage and onwards.

What you will focus on:

  • Expedite operations. You will coordinate with BU, Production Control, Operations Leadership, to create an optimal schedule that meets the fast paced demands of our clients. You will adapt when unforeseen conditions occur, ensure that ALL MPS schedule data is up to date and validated to drive BU and Operational KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Manage job details for readiness. You will validate material availability to produce the jobs in full, complete the commercial punch and follow-up on any deviations. You will participate in regularly scheduled production meetings.
  • Participates in Prototyping Master Sample Sign off. You will work with the designated team ( ENG, model maker, PPM, APM and Quality assurance) to understand prototyping samples from product development. You will run Epicor Purchase Requisition Report for review during the prototype sign-off process to ensure APM has placed applicable purchase requisitions and that items have been ordered according to job specifications. You will collaborate with the packaging technician regarding packaging requirements.
  • Coordinate and update schedule. You will adapt the schedule and communicate these changes whenever issues arise during production sequencing, escalating to Production Control, APM, and BU, as necessary.
  • Collaborate. You will work with Production Control to prepare necessary delivery schedules as required from the client to support the BU Team. You will attend Daily Business Unit stand ups to provide Production status updates.
  • Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations, the health, safety and environmental policies, procedures, and policies of Array Canada, and report issues immediately.
You have:
  • The education and experience. You have a diploma in a related field. You have experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally working with acrylics. You have an in-depth understanding of the product manufacturing process from end to end and the project management methodology and processes to ensure efficiency.
  • The leadership. You hold yourself highly accountable to high standards and meeting deadlines. You can influence within and across teams to achieve production deadlines. You are a strategic thinker who can remove barriers, optimize processes.
  • The solution-oriented approach. You have an ability to solve practical problems and deal with complex variables in situations under pressure. You can interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. You have strong analytical, planning, and time management skills.
  • The interpersonal skills. You have professional communication skills, and you can effectively present information across all levels. You can build trusting relationships and provide meaningful feedback.
  • The technical skills. You can read CAD documents, have expertise in production ordering systems, and are proficient with Microsoft Office, Macros and SQL a plus.
