Cenovus is hiring a Production Planning Analyst at the Lloydminster Upgrader! This position develops and implements production plans for feedstock and product volumes to manage site inventory. This position plays a key role for ongoing plant production monitoring and identifying areas of optimization.

Working Conditions:
You will be required to support planned and unplanned outages and additional hours of work may be required. This full-time office-based role is located at the Upgrader in Lloydminster, SK. Relocation to Lloydminster, SK/AB or surrounding area is required.

Responsibilities:
Forecast and support nomination of feedstock and product volumes based on yield, process unit performance, marketing, logistics and Lloyd district constraints.
Coordinate strategies and sales plans with value chain and marketing on plant process and production planning opportunities.
Monitor and report key plant performance indicators.
Provide support for strategic planning deliverables and continuous improvement initiatives.
Site liaison between operations, value chain, marketing, supply, logistics, and midstream operations.
Collaborate with marketing teams to formulate and implement optimum buy/sell strategies for inventory management.
Develop and implement production plans such as current inventory positions, planned rates, constraints for value chain and monthly asset optimization models.
Monitor, reconcile, and report on plant production performance.
Coordinate required plans with Operations & Marketing during outages.
Prepare production forecast, accruals and actual reports for financial reporting requirements.
Support long range planning processes (budget / LRP / strategic planning).
Review and implement all required internal and external audit recommendations related to production measurement and reporting.
Provide support for the Solomon Associates benchmarking study.
Qualifications:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
University degree or technical diploma, preferably in business economics or related field
5+ yrs related experience in an industrial setting (preferably refining or petrochemical).
Experience with the following would be an asset:
Production planning
Business or Finance
KPI reporting
Volumetric and production budgets
Inventory management
Ability to adjust, manage and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, operational front-line work environment
Outstanding communication, facilitation and presentation skills
Broad knowledge of Upgrading or Refining operations, pipeline systems, supply & logistics of feedstock and products, and commodity marketing and trading processes.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Desktop Applications with emphasis on Excel
Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to set and exceed established goals, schedules and timelines.
Results-oriented, hands-on self-starter, who works effectively in a team setting or independently.
A valid Class 5 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License is required
