This position is responsible for planning and supporting the production flow of new and existing products alongside other planners, while working with a cross functional team to ensure material is flowing as expected, and to mitigate issues as they arise, with the goal to fill customer orders on time, in a high mix production environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule production runs for new orders of existing products.
Create or modify process flows with external support where appropriate.
Work with others to monitor order progress in manufacturing and adjust priorities as necessary.
Monitor inventory levels and create inventory work orders as needed.
Inform purchasing of any large shifts in raw material consumption to mitigate shortages.
Communicate changes in order status to affected departments.
Kit raw or semi-finished materials for production as required.
Participate in cross-functional meetings about new products as required.
Lead meetings about current orders they oversee, and their challenges as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
Technical background (Technician Experience with a MFG background)
3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Proficiency with Microsoft Project would be an asset
Excellent communication skills in English
Quick learner with an excellent memory
Good at building relationships across departmental boundaries
Able to focus on task in a distracting environment
Controlled Goods Program (CGP) certification

Task assignment and priorities are set by the Manager of Planning.
Bi-weekly 1-1 meetings with your manager.
* Yearly performance reviews and setting of annual performance goals is done together with the Manager of Planning.
