(Production Planner)



The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the manufacturing process to ensure that production goals are met efficiently. This role works closely with procurement, production, management, and engineering teams to ensure materials, resources, and labor are available to meet project milestones and ship dates.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare weekly production reports and take part in weekly production planning meetings.

Gather production progress updates from production supervisors and project managers

Track material deliveries, equipment utilization, and workforce capacity.

Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to resolve delays or resource constraints.

Communicate production status, issues, and solutions to internal teams and management.

Improve existing production planning, including:

Developing estimates for manufacturing times of FPS products and contract specific fabrication.

Evaluate Software tools to assist with production planning and implementation as needed.

Develop and implement policies and procedures related to production scheduling.

Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications



Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 2+ years in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, or project management preferably in a small-to-medium manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge of project management/production planning software (ex. MS Project).

Working knowledge of inventory management/ERP systems. (Syspro preferred)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills to interact with multiple departments.

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing production demands.

Preferred Skills



Familiarity with production quality standards (ISO 9001).

Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.

Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
