Overview of the Position:



We are looking for a Production Parts Person to join our team in Delta, BC. The Production Parts Person is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely supply of picked parts and materials for production and service. This role involves coordinating inventory, staging parts for assembly, tracking orders, investigating inventory discrepancies, and maintaining stock levels to keep production and service running efficiently. In some circumstances, they will be required to assist the shipping and receiving team with preparing shipments to customers. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, divergent thinker, organized, and proactive. The role requires working closely with purchasing, shipping and receiving, production and service teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time parts deliveries.

This is an onsite position. To better serve the British Columbia region and support our continued growth, we will be relocating from Delta to South Surrey by the end of Spring 2026. During this transition, the successful candidate must be available to work onsite at both the Delta and South Surrey locations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:



Receive, inspect, and verify parts orders from vendors, ensuring correct quantities and undamaged shipments. Issue parts and materials for production, fabrication, and service departments as required. Pick, stage, and deliver materials, parts, and parts kits for production and work orders. Track and record parts usage, updating inventory systems to maintain accurate stock levels. Organize and maintain parts inventory, ensuring accurate labelling, storage, and stock rotation. Collaborate with the Procurement Department to maintain accurate and adequate parts inventory levels and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions and documentation. Perform either spot check, cycle count or annual full count as required. Record defective and damaged parts and coordinate replacements. Assist in developing and implementing new processes and procedures to improve inventory management efficiency and streamline parts deliveries. Assist with shipping, receiving, and stock put away, as required.

Experience and Qualifications:



Hold a Parts Technician (Red Seal) certificate?or enrolled in the Parts Technician apprentice program. Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in parts, inventory, or warehouse operations, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or equipment environment. 1 to 2 years of?forklift operator experience required. Knowledge of diesel engines, power generation systems, or related mechanical components would be an asset. Proficient in using ERP or inventory management systems for parts tracking and receiving. Familiarity with FIFO principles for parts stocking. Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to accuracy and details. Ability to interpret bills of materials, engineering drawings, and technical documentation requirements. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to effectively coordinate with the Production, Service, and Procurement Departments.
